From July 15-20 a creative workshop will be organized by Hanner and the Union of architects. The aim of the workshop is to set the future vision for the abandoned area of Zalgiris stadium. Five teams of professional architects that advanced through the early selection will participate in the workshop.
“We seek to develop a unique area that fully serves citizens needs. Not only it has to harmonize with the surroundings but also be the cornerstone of the new Vilnius center on the right bank of river Neris” noted A. Avulis, the chairman of Hanner.
The teritorry in question is one of the most important new areas in Vilnius. Architects are challenged to envision the area that has efficient building and parking plan, offers attractive public areas for the citizens and blends perfectly in the surroundings.
After the workshop, a public discussion will be held on July 27th at the office of the Union of architects. Citizens of Vilnius are invited to participate and share their thoughts.
